RESOURCE FOR SOUTH SHORE WIRTERS

awbRESOURCE FOR SOUTH SHORE WRITERS

Authors Without Borders (AWB) is a regional consortium of book writers and authors, founded in 2007 by four authors whose mission is to jointly market their books and assist other writers in navigating the course to publication. “I like to help writers avoid some of the pitfalls I experienced,” says Willie Pleasants, AWB co-founder as well as a member of our NWU-Boston Steering Committee.

AWB services include book signings, readings/speaking engagements, panel discussions, and workshops: ABC’s in Writing; Bring Your Manuscript to Publication; The Hook for the Book; and Writing Poetry and Novels.

AWB offers its members a discount on AWB workshops, a support system for advice and suggestions, opportunities to showcase their books at festivals, fairs libraries and bookstores, plus a spot on its website. Willie produces and hosts a cable show to promote herself and other writers by sharing their books and their stories.

Most of the authors live in South Shore (MA) communities. The current one-time membership fee of $40 rises to $50 in September. Questions? authorswb6@gmail.com. Check out AWB’s two websites: www.awb6.com and www.authorswithoutborders.wordpress.com.
