NWU Support Striking Warrior Met Coal Miners

New York, November 4: NWU NY members marched together with striking Alabama miners to support them in their struggle against the BlackRock company. Hundreds of workers were present at 5th Ave & 52nd St. The miners were inspired by the support of New York workers. Workers who talked to our members emphasized the importance of workers’ unity.

At our Delegate Assembly last month we heard from Haeden Wright, leaders of the miners’ Women’s Committee, who spoke about the 7-months strike and the determination of the miens and their families. NWU contributed $1,000 to the Auxiliary Fund to help supply much need supplies and hygiene and diapers to the striking miners.
