The NWU Book listserv has found a new home. Instead of Yahoo Groups, you can now find it over at lists.riseup.net.
The listserv is a place where members of the National Writers Union can organize, share resources, give advice, and support one another. The group is a home for those who have either written a book or contributed to one, regardless of whether the book is print or digital. Conversations about organizing, activism, and advocacy are also welcome.
This move was necessary now that Yahoo has decided to stop servicing interactive listservs. Riseup provides online communication tools for people and groups working on social change, such as unions. The project aims to create democratic alternatives to corporate-controlled online services, and give users the means to practice self-determination by controlling their own secure means of communications.
Existing members of the group are likely to have already received an email from co-moderator Barbara Mende. You can send messages to the group by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you’re not yet a member, you can send a request to email@example.com to sign up.
