Nielsen BookScan US operates the world’s first continuous retail sales monitoring service for books, with purchase information representing sales through a majority of the major retailers each week. In a typical week, sales of over 500,000 different print ISBNs are collected, coded and analyzed, producing complete market information for retailers, publishers and the media. Nielsen BookScan’s US panel currently covers approximately 85% of the print book market and continues to grow.

BookScan data is available as a subscription or bespoke reporting; reporting options for authors include single-ISBN reports, available for a nominal fee, either for one-off or recurring delivery.
