Shelley Buck is the author of three travel memoirs. India Bound: The Making of a Woman Journalist (2019), East: A Woman on the Road to Kathmandu (2013), and Floating Point: Endlessly Rocking off Silicon Valley (2011), all published in print by WriteWords Press and available through She was a founding editor of the pioneering women's news syndicate, Her Say News Service, now archived at Harvard. Her travel writing has appeared in Narrative Magaznie and her news reporting in a variety of publications, including Pacific News Service and Sacramento Magazine. She lives in the Sierra Foothills of California.
