Special Election Update: Nominations Due Next Week!

Fellow members,

Following our recently adopted bylaws, NWU will be holding a Special Election to try to fill the remaining empty chapter Delegate and Alternate seats before the upcoming Delegate Assembly.

In order to balance time for chapter leadership to rally nominees and time for the DA planners to prepare for attendees, the Special Election has been adjusted to the following timeline:

The cutoff for nominations is Wednesday, August 28 at 12am ET / 9pm PT.  This will allow us to confirm nominees and provide documentation to the election vendor by September 2. Nominations can be made through the online form here (Nomination Form) or by emailing the Election Committee at electioncommittee@nwu.org.

Voting will take place between Monday, September 16 and Thursday, September 19 through our previously used vendor, eBallot by Votenet Solutions. They will distribute voting links via email at the start of voting, from noreply@eballot.com. They suggest you whitelist that address from any filters you may have in your email.

Because these votes are for chapter Delegates and ballot filtering from eBallot will be automated, you will only be able to vote on seats for your chapter. If you have relocated recently or have any concerns about your chapter affiliation please contact trustees@nwu.org.

Chapters with vacant Delegate positions should also review Section XXIII-8-1-a of the bylaws.

As a reminder, the following Delegate seats are vacant:
At-Large Delegate (1)
DC Delegate (1)
Philadelphia Delegate (2)
Oregon Delegate (1)
